The Artist

The Professional Pivot
For over twenty years, my life was defined by numbers, strategy, and precision. After my Management degree from BITS Pilani, I stepped into corporate finance – a world where everything had a place and every problem had a structured solution. I loved that logic, but eventually, I started feeling a quiet, persistent pull toward something else.
It was just a simple, growing need to create with my hands. I wanted to make things that felt like “me.”
The Handmade Evolution
I started small: a stitched necklace for a friend, an embroidery hoop for my sister, or a bookmark for someone going through a heavy week. I wasn’t looking to start a business – I was just looking for the pure, uncomplicated joy of making.
Then, things changed. Friends started asking, “Can you make one for me?” Strangers on Instagram began reaching out. I realized that what I was doing wasn’t just a hobby -it was a way of connecting.
The ‘In studio’ evolution
Today, my studio is a mix of embroidery thread, macramé cords, string art, and resin. I’m especially drawn to the things we usually walk past, like dried leaves, reclaimed wood, and weathered pebbles. To me, this work is about weaving threads – between people, places, and the moments we want to hold onto.
My philosophy
Whether it’s a keepsake that captures a memory or functional art that sits quietly in your home, I want my work to feel grounded, yet a little bit magical. I believe art doesn’t belong behind glass; it belongs in our everyday spaces, reminding us of the stories that matter.
So, please – stay a while. Explore the work, and I hope you find a thread here that resonates with your own story. Whether you’re here to shop, join a workshop, or follow the process, welcome to the journey.
Warmly,
Vandana
